My View On Shaaba lafiagi and The Protesters

some youths of nowadays are not what should be called Youths because most of them behaves like children.. imagine these youths of lafiagi now writing to Abuja for the prosecution of Alhaji Shaaba lafiagi after razing down his habitat, my question is where is their thinking faculty when they were retaliating the death of their friends by throwing fire in their murderer's house? They have forgotten there's something called Law then,..and now after burning his house, they think the next step is to take him to court...
The house that was burnt, is it only shaaba lafigi that was living there or there are some other occupant.. We all know here in ilorin that kinda house will be occupied by series of people ranging from old to young... So how many people has been rendered homeless due to that act.. This is what the English man calls M. A. D MEDICINE AFTER DEATH, coz when the issue happened why didn't they take him to court in the first place then after that if there isn't any Justice then you can use the violent way..
The most saddened issue there is that 90% of the protesters are purely College of education Lafiagi students.. What a shame and slap on the face of all colleges of education, the institution where people were trained to train others, are you trying to tell the masses this is what you were being taught? We'll all keep singing ALUTA META LEMI O SE, CONSULTATION, CONSOLIDATION, CONFRONTATION.. now have you consulted or consolidated anything before confronting?.. We the students are the ones expected to put things in place coz we are believed to be literate but most of us are still stark illiterate, coz an educated man would calm down to solve any issue that engolved around him, but we youths of nowadays ain't like that most especially students,why should students be the ones pushed forward when it comes to Protest issues, when anything happens we choose to vandalize anything around us all in the name of ALUTA.. mind you WE AIN'T IN THE ERA OF A RADICAL ALUTA ANYMORE BUT IN A SCIENTIFIC AND SENSIBLE ALUTA WORLD, SO ANYONE BEING VIOLENT AND SAYING HE /SHE IS AN ALUTANIST IS NOTHING BUT A CRIMINAL.. STUDENTS SHOULD BEHAVE LIKE ONE AND THE OPPOSITE SHOULD ALSO BEHAVE LIKE THEMSELVES, WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN A LITERATE AND AN ILLITERATE..

why should the government start crowning and naming kings? Has the yoruba culture been mudered to the extent that the government are now the ones deciding who is qualified to be a king and who isnt fit, why are they the ones telling us where to zone a kingship title nd when its deem fit to. Where are those honest elders and ifa priests and the most trustworthy kingmakers that have once lived during the period of our forefathers,the ones who will never sell the future of their wards because of wordly things,the ones who will tell you to go away with ur millions of nairas and luxurious fleet of cars which was being given to them as a gift, ones who will tell you "am comfortable living in a bungalow with my idols an 2 piece of white dansiki and sokoto plus oja with fresh air rather than living in a storey building with AC and cars with millions) please do they still exist ? What about those days that kings are like a small god to everyone which they all worship and nobody dare look straight in the eyes. Kings that will command and that command would instantly be having effect. Please where are all these kind of brave and wonderful Kings.we've heard of Jaja of opobo,what about afonja who died in the line of defending his kingdom and people,Queen amina of zaria nko ? A brave woman in the war front. Abi we should talk about moremi ajasooro! Of offa, Oranmiyan nko ,his impact while alive and even after dead is a story that cannot be forgotten.
Now why are government officials interfering in our culture is a question we are supposed to be posing and stone throwing to our corrupt kings in yoruba land, how many times have we seen or heard about dangote,or any other hausa influential directing or imposing a decision or even check and balancing for the sultan of sokoto,kaduna,kano or any other emir in the northern Nigeria,even Ilorin that is being imprisoned by a government official family,decisions isn't being made for the Emir there.
In the yoruba land we have just 3 main and most fearful kingship positions, that is OONI OF IFE, ALAAFIN OF OYO AND OKUOPOLOPOLO OF BENIN KINGDOM..these positions are being held by high esteemed personels..let's leave that aside.
Why would a common governor start installing kings all around ibadan area, is he a kingmaker? And the high ibadan cheifs that were given the titles also accepted just like that without thinking twice YORUBAAA!!!YORUBA!!!!YORUBA!!!! Why are we always self centred and we don't even think about the future of our children, if the other Kings of yoruba land are folding their arms and not saying anything about the matter that means they have eaten plantaing and cannot speak the truth anymore,  the youths are fearless of any politician. Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has sacked his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi.

A statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said Adelusi was relieved of his duty over “dereliction of duty.”

The statement, which was announced on the state-owned radio station, did not explain the specific offence committed by Adelusi.

But a source in the Governor’s Office said Adelusi was sacked because he failed to organise adequate media coverage for the Eid prayer in Ado Ekiti, which the governor attended on Friday.

Olayinka said, “The governor was livid that there were no journalists in his entourage and that they were not on the ground to cover his entry into the prayer ground.

“The governor felt he had taken more than enough from the gentleman and ordered his sacking.

“The CPS, however, said he was not aware of the event because it was not officially communicated to him.

“He said there was no way he could have arranged for a media coverage for an event he was not aware of. But we hope the matter can be resolved because the governor has a large heart.”

When contacted by our correspondent, Olayinka confirmed the development. He explained that he issued the statement based on the directive of the governor.

He, however, failed to provide further details on the incident.

Attempts by our correspondent to speak with Adelusi on the issue was unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls made to his mobile phone and also to the text message sent to him as of the time of filing this report.

What attracted you to your wife despite the obvious disparity in your ages?

I am attracted to her because she is very cool, loving, understanding and protective. She has a better behaviour than slay mamas.

How long did you know her before you proposed?

We had known each other for two years before we decided to get married three years after.

Was there any initial opposition from either your family or hers?

There were issues like that but our family members later understood that age is just a number and that love does not have limit. We are quite in love and happy with ourselves.

What is the exact age difference between the two of you?

I can't disclose that to you.

What profession are you into?

I am a soccer player and also a car dealer.

When there are disagreements between the two of you, who apologies first?

We both apologise when there are disagreements. But she does that first and more than I do because she is a wise wife who knows that the husband is the head of the house. She knows what marriage means.

Some people would expect you to marry a younger lady.  How would you react to that ?

I usually do not reply them because they do not know what love is all about. Everybody has their choice. I know that some will praise us and some will not.

Has there been any embarrassing moment on account of your marriage to her?

No, there has been no such thing.

Tell us about your wife.

She is a nurse and from the United States of America. She is a short person but with a high intellect. She is quite understanding and the best woman in my life after my mother.

Some people believe you chose her to get a permanent stay or something related. What do you have to say to that?

Yes, I know that most people will think that way. But I do not care because I was already a US citizen and that’s not from her.

Was she ever married?

Yes, she was married.

Most Africans are particular about children. Did you put that into consideration in making your decision too?

It is a self decision and that does not concern anyone.

Why did You called some people haters while celebrating the second anniversary of your marriage on Facebook recently. Who are they and what roles did they play in the entire affair to be so labelled?

I will not disclose that.

VCs, ASUU reject 120 cut-off mark for varsity admission

SOME Vice-Chancellors and the Academic Staff Union of Universities have rejected the decision of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to peg admission cut-off mark at 120 for universities and 100 for polytechnics, and colleges of education.

ASUU said the action, which it described as a “sad policy decision,” was in tandem “with the dream of the present government to destroy public universities in the country.” Most of the vice-chancellors our correspondents interviewed on the issue maintained that they would not lower admission standards in their respective varsities.

The vice-chancellors stated that the decision would add no value to the nation’s university system. For instance, in a statement issued by the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, on the issue and released by his Media Assistant, Mr. Sunday Saanu, on Thursday, the premier university stated that it would never admit any candidate that scored 120 in the UTME.

News Flash!!! Sporadic Shootings around sawmill Garage as mobs kills an Officer

It was a black Friday for the people of sawmill garage and Opeyemi area of Ilorin yesterday evening at about 6:45pm following several gunshots released in the air by some offers which sends fear to the minds of the residents of the area.
It was said by a lady who gave us her name as kafayat, that a little fight happened between an okada man and a police officer(mopol) which the okada man beats the officer in the process, kafayat said in revenge the officer went ahead to get his gun, and while trying to shoot his target, a kid got shot in the process which aroused the anger in the hoodlums of sawmill garage and they tried to collect the gun from him then afterwards got him killed while beating him.
The affected child was said to have been taken to the hospital but health status unknown yet, the colleagues of the officer were said to have came around releasing several gunshots in the air, which sends many closing their shops and some closing their homes door, some also running for their dear lives.
The corpse of the officer had been taken away by his colleagues after some shootings and disturbances sending fears into the residents said kafayat, even some pedestrians were arrested and taken away innocently and that was when everyone started running because the officers were just packing anyone they see with thorough beating said an okada man who gave us his name as lamidi.
We don't know what next now and I don't even think am coming to shop tomorrow likewise everyone else because we know this military people, when things like this happens, the innocents will be the ones to suffer the loss said a trader. Last week Friday also, we experienced some sort of shootings around this same area, at first we thought it's all this cult guys but till now we don't know who and where the shots came from said an okada man.
We are yet to receive any updates at the area today because everything seems to be under control.

Now let's take Ilorin matter into consideration,Ilorin people are the one that will tell u lies and still use the name of God to bear a false witness, when u hear an Ilorin indigen saying "walahi talahi" my guy maka run shap shap, cox it's nothing other than lies, yet they claim the city is holy, series of abduction, kidnapping, ritual killings and more were reported in the city yet they claim to be religious, a city where the indigen of Ilorin will be selected first in both academic, political, social, economic environment for a portfolio before a Kwara or any other state indigen, even if someone from another state be it Kwara itself should try to step up 4 dat position, he/she will be told to step down or else something else will take over, why? Why? Why? Na only una God create life 4? It's this same city the rate of unpaid salaries is high also tuition fees of both primary, secondary, and even the tertiary level is something a poor man's offspring cannot afford anymore, yet their son is the 003 of Nigeria, the 001 of Kwara State. I no some people will be like how and what way are they connected with the terrorist, the terrorist are killing innocent civilians yet Ilorin people are doing the same, a man dat is denied of his right is such person dead or not? A poor man child that he cannot afford to enroll in school are the ones later turning to hoodlums in the neighborhood when they also want to eat and be comfortable but the certificate to secure a good job is what they don't have, check out agbo oba, Opeyemi, sawmill, Kwara poly nd other institutions,it's not their own will too to become an headache to the neighborhood or the school but when they are not self sufficient what do u expect, or is it someone that is denied of his right u expect not to take any risk to get revenge?
Trying to islamize Ilorin is what will later bring nothing but an inter communal war in the city because we av different ethnic group in Kwara State so u don't expect them to remain in their villages they must also enjoy the capital which is Ilorin, when av u heard them in the east where we av a lot of Christians to say no to the Muslims living there or the traditionalists? Or them saying this is a Christian state ? Hell no! But we Muslims most especially the Emirates are the ones to criticize,discriminate,devaluate defame other people religious belief and that's the reason why there is no advanced development in the state unlike Lagos, a state that accommodates all ethnic group, religion,indigen,even all races and there is no problem at all.

So pls emirates abeegi learn to av religious tolerance because this was how book haram started gradually.

The afore listed platforms are Uniting the Youths but it's not being used to address our plight. They only unite us to feel that we have no much worries about our future, we all get relaxed with the music and entertainment programmes forgetting that we have lot of things to stand for as Youths.

Youths are the thugs they use to disrupt electoral processes which makes them sneak their way to the political seat without having good intentions for the country. If we (Youths) refuse to be used as thugs and we have wise up to support and unite ourselves to fight against those threatening our peace in this country then our country is on the verge to a new dawn of greatness. The fight am talking about is not carrying ammunition and start to kill people. No!
Buh the fight of Peaceful Political Revolution which is N.Y.F vision that will be accomplished soonest only if we youths can unite ourselves.
This is a challenge to us, we have being silent enough to save ourselves from the hands of corrupt leaders, it is time to unite ourselves irrespective of our Culture, language, Breeds, Tribe, Colour, Sex, Religion, Background, States, Status e.t.c
A piece of broom can be broken easily buh the bunch can't be broken. Let us make ourselves United and make this revolutionary movement a reality.
My heart bleeds when I see the action of some Youths we are preaching revolution to, Is it the Youth that doesn't work buh want to live in luxury, Is it the Youths that is still playing carelessly with his carrier thinking Youths period will not elapse.
Let us make changes wherever we are not worthy to be emulated by generations to come. Let us be the hero of our century and let the next generation feel our impact.

RUMOR! RUMOR!! RUMOR!!! ONLY PEOPLE WHOSE SURNAME FALLS FROM A-D WOULD RECEIVE THEIR BURSARY NOT ALL INDIGEN

Following yesterday news on the collection of bursary, it has come to our notice today based on what we heard from students of the college that the National association of Kwara State students body are hereby ready to give out the bursary but just few students would get theirs luckily.
A student however spoke with our reporter but refused to mentioned his name and source of information, he however just said it's from a reliable source in the Naks office, he said the money is still with the association but a little out of it would be shared to the students, but the rest would be shared among the executives because the money has been encountering some reduction as soon as it has gotten to the Naks account.
He further explained that just few students would be given as they had planned it to be. He said it would be shared in alphabetical order, students whose surname starts from "A" to probably maybe "D" only would be given while the rest would be tricked that till the next day, but they would receive no single penny.
Now my question is, is this money for the students or Naks  body?
Why are they keeping the money ?
What's going to happen if some should collect the money and others are denied the right to?
Will they be asked to come for it later or forget it?

WHO IS WITH OUR MONEY ? KAU KANO, MANAGEMENT OR KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT..KWCOED STUDENTS ARE YELLING

Where is our bursary? Who is with our bursary? When they know they wouldn't give it to us, why share the information that we should come for it? Who are those that were announced to have been given the money?
These are the questions being asked by the students of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin after being told to come for their bursary on Monday 5th of June 2017, following the information passed after the evening prayer (Tarawih) at the college library,that all Kwara State indigen should come over to the Hall 2 with their school /departmental I.d card and certificate of state of origin with 300 naira for some national receipt in order to get individual share of the money.
But unfortunately for the students, on getting to the hall on Monday, it was another story entirely, the students were stranded in the sun till about 2pm before leaving the location.
A student who identified herself as Zainab said during an interview at the Hall on Monday that,'we don't even understand them at all since morning that we've been sitting here, the NAKS President Sen.kau kano is just coming in and out and not telling us anything, even the students affairs units have all been here, they also went in then came out and left instantly without saying a word to us, we could see some people also decorating the Hall, which gives us assurance that probably they were expecting an honorable guest I think"
Another student that very Monday said"we were told that we should come with our I.d card which the school have refused to give us since year one, I sha come with my departmental maybe I will be given. She added when asked how much is the money. She said"some are saying 5000 naira while some said 4,500 naira.
Nothing at all was given to the students on Monday and were told the Governor of Kwara State wasn't around so till the next day. We also visited the venue on Tuesday 6th of June 2017,just few people came around saying others left upon hearing a rumor.
A student name withheld said during an interview at the hall that" we heard that the management are insisting to get a cut out of the money,or else the students wouldn't be allowed to get their share, I think that's why people are leaving, in fact ,I heard that the money has been brought to the bursary department since Friday but we don't know why them no one give us our money o,and bukata don dey on the money, I won add am to my school fees ni but now that they don't want to give us, tor awon nuun,olohun nuun( I hand them over to God).
Till the end of Tuesday, nothing was given to the students, now we have been hearing that the government has announced on radio that our bursary have been paid to us and we haven't gotten anything yet.
Till now ,the NAKS President Sen.Kau kano has not said anything yet order than saying "am I the government who announced your bursary on radio?
Now my question is, is he not the one representing the governor of Kwara State, Gov.Abdulfatah Hammed in the college then representing the whole Kwara State students in the college at the government house?
The question being posed by the students is "Where is our bursary? Who is with our bursary? The government, management or naks President himself...

NEWS FLASH!!! SHEKONI BOYS IN ACTION AGAIN.. VIEW IMAGES BELOW

Shekoni boys never ceased to amuse me. Although I don't stay at the hostel but I have an eye there, and reports about them always land on my table everyday.
Today my clothes were stolen from where I spread them,which will result to crises due to the curses being showered by the owner, tomorrow might be a Case of stolen jean or shoes, while next tomorrow might be the issue of room broken and money or mobile fone stolen.
This time, last week was a case of some unknown guys who came in the hostel then assist in beating a guy suspected to have stolen a mobile Fone which results to chaos that very day.
Today after a students birthday at the SUG Building where alcoholic and Indian hemp had been used as anointing oil, an hostelite was reportedly to have said his money kept under the Quran was missing, then after a lot of troublemaking his roommate said the money was kept under a book not Quran, this argument later turned into a hot fight between them which no one was able to separate them on time.

BREAKING NEWS: NAKSS VEHICLE DAMAGED BY SOME UNKNOWN PERSONNELS

The National Association of Kwara State Students Vehicle yesterday was damaged at the Shaaba male hostel  by some unknown guys.
The report received from a reliable source that, The guys came over to the hostel, then started releasing the air in the vehicle's tires, which was parked at the male hostel and nobody dare challenged them.
The action came up as a result of an unconfirmed rumor in which the guys heard when the NAKSS national executives were having a meeting, they overheard them mentioning impeachment and instantly they assumed the NAKSS president of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin was the one about to be impeached,so claiming to fight on his behalf they went ahead to flattened the NAKSS national vehicle.
The Nakss president also mentioned that he doesn't know the guys from anywhere, they only came around for help and he was in a meeting so they were waiting for him while the incident happened.
The affected tires have been refilled this evening, and the vehicle now in good shape again.

BREAKING NEWS!!! SUG VERSUS MAN O'WAR..READ MORE

It has been a while that we've been hearing rumors about the man o'war office having grudges with the Sug office, which all our efforts in getting to the root of the matter prove abortive.
Yesterday night Proved the rumor to be true ,when the arrest of the Sug S.A MEDIA ALSO KNOWN AS THE Assistant General Secretary of the Union which later result to some conflicts that very night.
In an interview with the eye witnesses yesterday night,we were able to gather up some information about the incident that happened between the man o'war and the Sug AGS.
He said, it all happened when the AGS was heading to the hostel with his girlfriend about some minutes to 10pm that night and was stopped by the CTO who was on his bike with an accomplice, he said the AGS was asked where he was heading to and he answered harshly which made the CTO to make a command that the Lady is not expected to be outside by that time and she should return back to the hostel, but the AGS responded harshly again saying who is he to ask her to go back, this later result to some exchange of abusive words between the two of them,he also added that the lady took to her heels when a call was made to the security post but was successfully caught by an officer and taken back to the spot of the conflict, he said the lady was locked (held by the chest) which made her rain insult on the officer and was later left alone.
He added that the AGS mentioned that "the man o'wars will soon be disbanded in the school and that they were not recognized in the campus.
Our reporter was an eye witness when the exchange of words at the security unit results to an exchange of blows between the AGS and a man o'war officer which the securities separated them,and the AGS with the lady were asked to put down their statements which they both refused to do so till the Sug President came by to settle the matter but both parties seems not satisfied after the comments and words of advice disseminated by the president, so he later asked the both parties with their evidences to meet at the security unit tomorrow after the Panel, and he left with his AGS instantly,
But a statement made by the President still left many astonished, he said "any Executive has equal rights to walk freely in the campus anytime" should it be so?

cannot take us anywhere but ZERO CORNER.
Patience is a scarce asset,
but always Good to have.
That is,when you choose to be patient when matter arises,
Let me tell you a bitter truth,
even if you are guilty of a matter,
you might end up being the VICTORIOUS ONE,
but when you choose to take things up
all because you have a power or authority,
or the master control of everything,
everyone, everywhere within you,
you will surely end up being the VILLAIN.

Truly God did not created us equal,
but just like a Frog,
one should always learn to adapt
to the whatsoever atmosphere one find himself.
Learn to be patient
because you cannot hold the master control
or power and authority for ever
because no champion reigns forever.
So think about tomorrow before you act
,because your gateman today
might end up being your boss tomorrow,
that is tomorrow is unpredictable
, and do not spoil your future
because of what you'll gain today.

BREAKING NEWS!!! THE MAN O' WAR NIGERIA, KWCOED COMMAND HAS DISMISSED AN OFFICER FOR PUBLIC MISCONDUCT

The man O' War Nigeria, the Kwara State College of Education Ilorin command has dismissed one of their officers today for public misconduct.
The dismissal was confirmed following a pasted letter at the boys hostel and some other places as being said by some students this evening.
The officer name withheld was said to have been using his power and authority as an officer to disturb the peace of the college,and also harassing students in the campus, the officer was said to have also harassed an SRC by beating him mercilessly saying he was rude to him.
The letter of dismissal that was pasted comprise of his initials (Names ,post and likes) and at the bottom was written that wherever he is seen claiming to be an officer or using any man o' war adornments (uniform, I.d card,and likes) he should be reported instantly to the numbers written below the letter.

Protesting students causing gridlock Benue State has been thrown into mourning following the killing of a final year Geography student from the State University in Mukurdi. Hundreds of protesting students took to the streets demanding the arrest and prosecution of those behind the killing.The students are also demanding the intervention of the State House of Assembly in providing legislation to curb such killings in future.The protest caused heavy gridlock along the Lafia- Makurdi-Otukpo and the Makurdi-Gboko federal highways for over three hours.Meanwhile, efforts by security agencies to clear the road were rebuffed by the students, demanding all herdsmen leave the state for good.Protesting university students reacting to the continuous herdsmen attacks on Benue farmers, a youth activist while providing statistics of those killed between 2013 and 2015, called on president Muhammadu Buhari and the international community to halt the wanton killing once and for all.The protest is the second just within the week as Tiv youths gathered in Abuja, to demand action from the seat of power at the Federal level, however more needs to be seen if the protest caught the attention of the President to warrant immediate solution.Governor of Benue State, Samuel OrtomThe governorSamuel Ortom, had called on the Federal Government to do more to stop the attacks by herdsmen across the country.The governor, who led the State Security Council to the killing fields in Logo and Buruku local council, lamented over the renewed attacks witnessed in the region.“There must be a solution, the Federal Government must come and collaborate with the state to solve this problem.But the Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, on the other hand, ordered his men to deal with anyone bearing arms illegally.Benue State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama“Anybody that is seen with arms should be brought down. Breaking News!!! Time Table For The Nce 3 Make Up Exam Finally Out... Read more

The management of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin has eventually released the most expected exam time table for the make up exams of the Nce 3 Students.
The exam which was scheduled to start last week Wednesday then was later changed to Monday 20th of march 2017.
The exam based on the pasted time table will start on the 20th of march and will last till 27th of march. Hall 2 will be the only hall to be used for the entire exam and the citc center B for the GSE.
Concerned students are hereby implored to come along to the exam hall with their dully signed clearance which was printed and the confirmed receipt for the carry over payment to avoid any form of embarrassment.
