Protesting students causing gridlock Benue State has been thrown into mourning following the killing of a final year Geography student from the State University in Mukurdi. Hundreds of protesting students took to the streets demanding the arrest and prosecution of those behind the killing.The students are also demanding the intervention of the State House of Assembly in providing legislation to curb such killings in future.The protest caused heavy gridlock along the Lafia- Makurdi-Otukpo and the Makurdi-Gboko federal highways for over three hours.Meanwhile, efforts by security agencies to clear the road were rebuffed by the students, demanding all herdsmen leave the state for good.Protesting university students reacting to the continuous herdsmen attacks on Benue farmers, a youth activist while providing statistics of those killed between 2013 and 2015, called on president Muhammadu Buhari and the international community to halt the wanton killing once and for all.The protest is the second just within the week as Tiv youths gathered in Abuja, to demand action from the seat of power at the Federal level, however more needs to be seen if the protest caught the attention of the President to warrant immediate solution.Governor of Benue State, Samuel OrtomThe governorSamuel Ortom, had called on the Federal Government to do more to stop the attacks by herdsmen across the country.The governor, who led the State Security Council to the killing fields in Logo and Buruku local council, lamented over the renewed attacks witnessed in the region.“There must be a solution, the Federal Government must come and collaborate with the state to solve this problem.But the Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, on the other hand, ordered his men to deal with anyone bearing arms illegally.Benue State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama“Anybody that is seen with arms should be brought down. You cannot bear what is illegal to use it against anybody.“Whoever is carrying any weapon, I have said should actually be arrested and prosecuted for that.”

Breaking News!!! Time Table For The Nce 3 Make Up Exam Finally Out... Read more

The management of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin has eventually released the most expected exam time table for the make up exams of the Nce 3 Students.
The exam which was scheduled to start last week Wednesday then was later changed to Monday 20th of march 2017.
The exam based on the pasted time table will start on the 20th of march and will last till 27th of march. Hall 2 will be the only hall to be used for the entire exam and the citc center B for the GSE.
Concerned students are hereby implored to come along to the exam hall with their dully signed clearance which was printed and the confirmed receipt for the carry over payment to avoid any form of embarrassment.

Of the Greatest...Great ooo...This is to inform the entire NCE 3 students that the carry over make up exams would start on Monday 20th of March, 2017. All affected students should come for the exams as no further excuse would be entertained.
Ensure that you come along with the clearance for the exam. NO CLEARANCE,NO EXAM is always enforced now. The S.U.G. is now urging all the victims to prepare thoroughly for any course they have deficiency. From the S.U.G. president 2016/2017, led by sen. Zuhaib Muzamil Alagbede.

Even thou the students are not that okay in the campus due to unable to sit for exams and likes.. Our leaders can still boldly pose to show how happy they are concerning the status of the campus and the pains of the students.. Remembered Fela kuti's Song titled"Suffering and Smiling" the Leaders are smiling while their people are suffering, how many leaders can say amen to this prayer"may God reward me according to my handwork" hell no! None can claim the prayer because they all know their handworks are not clean at all. You will pledge while campaigning that you will serve the people, you will be after their welfarism but when later elected you neglect these people that brought you there. Remember the prophet words that says "the people who will suffer most in the day of judgement are the leaders that does not fulfil their pledge to their people and kept JEOPARDIZING them"
We are saying our leaders are bad,and corrupt but, did we check our selves well ? What are the things they are doing that we are also not avoiding,they are embezzling money, we do the same,they are engaging in one or the other corrupt activities, this is where they also start from, they started from the root (Tertiary institution) before getting to the top where they are now and that's the more reason why most of them always end up with ZERO ACHIEVEMENT after their tenure and leave a pile of DEBT for the coming administration to settle when they also attain that position.
Let's change for good and say NO TO CORRUPTION, EMBEZZLEMENT, FRAUD,RADICALISM AND LIKES, there is this quote I love to utter most times"TO DIE OR BE KILLED ON A RIGHTEOUS OR TRUTHFUL PATH IS BETTER THAN BEING KILLED OR DYING IN A DESTRUCTIVE OR FALSE PATH"
