JAMB Sets New Deadline For Admission Into Universities And Polytechnics

Students seeking admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria have been given a lifeline until Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

According to information released by Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) stated on Friday, September 16, that all admissions to universities, polytechnics and colleges of education should end at the stipulated time.
Speaking at the University of Abuja, venue of an Extra-Ordinary Technical Committee Meeting on 2016 Admissions to First Choice Institutions, the JAMB boss noted that the board was ready to attend to authentic requests of everyone involved in ensuring the efficiency of the examination body. While informing that other admission processes remain intact, the registrar explained that there should be no post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) test and that institutions which were yet to complete their requirements for the 2017 brochure to do so.
